Laylatul Qadr is believed to fall within the last ten nights of Ramadan — the exact date is uncertain but it is thought to be an odd-numbered date, so the 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27 or 29th night.
While the exact timings and date may vary, dependent on moon sightings, many believe in Laylatul Qadr will fall on the night of Saturday 8 May. It is a night of worship and believed to be a night when sins are forgiven and the blessings of a thousand months can be received. It is also a time when people ask for forgiveness for their sins. Many stay up all night praying or reciting the Qu-ran and some chose to spend the day and night in solitude to reconnect with their faith.
